Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell joins the big screen along with other young adult film adaptations!
Eleanor and Park set in Omaha 1986 follows two teenage star-crossed lovers, Eleanor and Park, that is smart enough to know that love never lasts but is desperate enough to try.
DreamWorks has optioned Eleanor and Park for film rights. According to Entertainment Weekly, Rainbow Rowell has been hired to write the screen play. Although Rowell is currently busy working on another novel, DreamWorks is patiently waiting for Rowell as they hope to begin filming in 2015. Others on the project includes Clara Hacken, studio executive for Walk the Line and Devil Wears Prada, and executive producer Matt Kennedy. Once the script has been written, the director and cast will soon join in on the project.
