It’s been a busy year for Tim Burton as he prepares for his next film: Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children which was written by Ransom Riggs.
Casting started the middle of the year with Eva Green, who starred in other Tim Burton’s movies such as Dark Shadows, was the first member to join the project. Asa Butterfield, who starred in Ender’s Game, and Ella Purnell, who starred in “Maleficent” were the next two that joined the team.
According to Page to Premiere, Samuel L. Jackson, who starred in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, is the newest cast member to join the project as the antagonist of the story.
Miss Peregrine’s follows a 16-year-old boy, Jacob, that finds clues which leads him to a mysterious island where he discovers the ruins of Miss Peregrine’s School for Peculiar Children. As he scours the abandoned house, he discovers that the orphans that stayed there are not so peculiar after all. They all posses incredible powers and they may still be alive.
Chernin Entertainment reported that Miss Peregrine’s will be released in theaters March 4, 2016 as they hope that filming starts the first quarter of 2015.
