It was announced last year that Jay Basu will be adapting Julie Kagawa’s newest book, Talon.
According to Variety, Basu is no stranger to tackling this type of project. Basu was hired to rewrite Dante’s Inferno. One of his previous works was Monsters: Dark Continent.
Universal hired Jay Basu to adapt Talon, a novel that is set around dragons having the ability to transform into humans and living among them.
According to Variety, they are confident that this movie will be profitable since Talon was compared to popular movies such as “Lord of the Rings” and “Games of Thrones.”
Among Basu, Sara Scott will be overseeing the project as well as vice president, Ainsley Davies for the Chris Morgan Productions.
