John Green has taken over the screen the past year with The Fault in Our Stars, and soon Paper Towns in July. However, it’s not surprising that Looking for Alaska will be adapted to the screen next.
Looking for Alaska is about a boy named Miles “Pudge” Halter that has an obsession with famous last words and a great fascination of the “Great Perhaps.” It isn’t until he transferred to a boarding school where he meets a girl named Alaska Young who pulls him into her world and changes everything.
It’s going to be hard to believe this, but Looking for Alaska was published in 2005 and is New York Times Best Seller. Green went onto his twitter account last year and tweeted out to his millions of follower while expressing his gratitude towards the filmmaker the following:
“So excited to be announcing that the brilliant filmmaker Sarah Polley will be writing and directing a film adaptation of Looking for Alaska.”
It is until now that we get more news about the movie. Looking for Alaska finally gets a script which means that a cast will soon come through too.
